A wanted to pass on a massive thank you to Duncan. I completed the event yesterday in 7 hours 31; making the bike cut off with 30 minutes to spare but still with enough in me for the run. The advice you gave me both on the familiarisation camp and the day before the race proved invaluable. I am not an experienced cyclist but thanks to you I feel I managed to ride an optimal race for my level of fitness and ability. The arm warmers were very effective! Attending the familiarisation camp was the best thing I could have done on the run up to the day. Please don’t change this format it really worked for me. I hope to do a full Ironman at some point in the medium term (wife permitting!). I shall be in contact nearer the time. In the mean time I shall continue riding up the hills on the north Cornish coast (which are steeper than those at Wimbleball!!)Best wishes D
