It was great to meet the novice triathletes at our Hever Castle Training Day yesterday.
Coaches Mike Redshaw, Duncan Scott, Clare Cornish and Liz Scott delivered sessions on open water swimming skills, transition skills, bike handling and efficient running skills. Many of the athletes are entering the Hever Castle triathlon as their first triathlon and for most it was the first time swimming in open water.
Duncan Scott and George Osborne also gave 60 children their first taste of swimming in open water. The kids and their parents were singing their praises – so well done to you both.
And to top it all the weather was kind to us. Well done to all the athletes that came along – you all did well and we look forward to hearing all about your race in a few weeks time!
