    It’s great for us to be able to share the results from thetrilife.com Masters athletes…

    mikeredshawnewsletter Jane Wiley competed in the Charlotteville CC 50 TT, recording 2:13:16 for 1st over 50 lady. At Barcelona IM 70.3 a week later Jane won her AG and qualified for the World Championships in Austria with a time of 5:58:40.

    Leo Contessi had a blistering run to gain 7th in his AG, 27th over all, at the Cusioman 89.6 in 3:45:57.

    Nigel Turner had a busy couple of days racing the Slateman sprint in a time of 1:26:51 for 10th place in his AG and the next day backed it up with an impressive 24th place over all in the Slateman Savage in 2:57:00.

    Kevin Watson raced well in the Roe Valley Sprint Triathlon in a time of 1:16:54.

    Steve Tassell started his season off with a fine 1:44:39 in the Reading Half Marathon. He followed this with a very respectable 8th in his AG at the Eton Super Sprint in 1:09:13.

    Lewys Winfield Young claimed 7th place over all in the Llanelli Half Marathon in 1:18:19 which bodes well for Bala later in the season.

    Gordon Staines posted a pb in the local 5k Park run in 19.32, great preparation for Blenheim Sprint in June.

    Niven Robinson sharpened up for Olympic distance triathlons planned for next month in the Wallisellen Super Sprint Triathlon 1:02:22 for 52nd in his AG.

    lizscottnewsletter1Barney Gray gained automatic qualification for 2015 ITU Duathlon World Championships with 3rd place AG finish at Dambuster Duathlon in very windy conditions. He followed this with a win at the Farnham Sprint Duathlon.  A great start to the season.

    At the Maidstone duathlon Judith Hagger won her AG and 5th overall female finishing in 2:36:02. While Nicola Wignall finished 2nd in her AG in time of 2:45:04. Both ladies were again in action at the Sevenoaks Triathlon, Nicola posted a 1:52:12 for 3rd in her AG and Judith 1:46:11 for 2nd in her AG.  Nicola then went on to race in the Little Beaver for 6th in her AG missing out on AG qualification by 14 seconds! Super form from both ladies!

    Nigel Jones, just coming back into full training and despite niggles, hit his sub 4 hour target in the London Marathon in 3:58:00.  Adam Malin recorded a pb in the Paris Marathon 3:39:00. Well done to both.   And James Davies hit one of his early season targets with a sub 40 mins 10k at the London BUPA 10k – nice one James!

    Phil Abbott blew away the cobwebs in his first triathlon for a long while at the East Grinstead Sprint Triathlon. He finished 48th overall in a competitive field with 1:20:17.

    dansalcedonewsletterKeith Ashworth did a huge PB at 70.3 Mallorca with a 5:42 – first time under 6 hrs.  Nice one Keith.

    Our athlete of the year, Glenda Goscomb also PB’d riding 2:21 for a 50m TT.

    Anne Eden has been busy with 6th in AG at the European Middle Distance Champs 2nd in AG at British AG Sprint Champs with the fastest run and 5th AG at Little Beaver.  Well done to Anne, qualifying for Sprint distance AG World Champs 2015 and Euro Champs 2016!

    John Borton has qualified for 2 world championships this year – 70.3 Worlds – Zell am See, Austria and AG Worlds Standard Distance in Chicago in September.

    Matthew Dawes competed in his 19th IM in Texas with another sub 12 hour finish
