Debbie Tyler – #thetrilifereporter – month 4
I managed the Divas on Wheels ride for Pilgrims Hospices last weekend, but dropped down to the 25 miles rather than 50 to look after my knee. It was fine, and I was glad to have supported the very worthy cause.
I was fairly happy with my efforts at Blenheim at the start of the month too, especially as it was my first event in a wetsuit and open water! Even though I was dreading the mass start and the swim itself because it’s all new to me, I actually enjoyed the swim the most! And I did manage to get my picture taken with Alastair Brownlee!
As I’ve been referred to the orthopaedic team by my GP and Physio, I’ve deferred Leeds Castle triathlon until next year as 5k is too much for my knee at the moment.
In the meantime, I’m doing the Eton Dorney Shock Absorber women only triathlon on 10 July (shorter distances), and also the Jenson Button triathlon in Derby the week after.
Liz has very kindly enrolled me on the Transform Your Swimming 12 week programme so that I can focus on my swimming whilst my knee is sorted out.
