Debbie Tyler – #thetrilifereporter – Month 6
Not too much to report this month, but here goes….
I did my first swim only event on 23 July – it was the Big Swim in Nottingham, which is part of the Outlaw Ironman Triathlon weekend.
I chose the shortest distance of 1500m, and although I took a slow 40 minutes, I wasn’t last out of the water!
The following day, I had keyhole surgery on my knee to fix the torn medial meniscus and only had my stitches out last week so have done no more events.
Last Saturday I had a swim analysis with Liz Scott, and she has given me some very useful tips & advice to improve my stroke.
I’m looking to participate in another couple of triathlon & swim events before the end of the season, but have to concentrate on letting my knee heal properly first.
That’s about it for now!
