Competing: Ashleigh has taken part in races as an Age Group athlete and regularly competes in triathlons and swimming races, open water events with tough swims being her favourite. She also feels strength and conditioning should be a key focus in everyone’s training plan and can help to improve speed, strength and reduce injury risks.
Interesting Fact: She ‘acted’ as an elite athlete in the run through day for the 2012 Olympics Triathlon London and was instructed to dive off the pontoon too early!
Coaching: Ashleigh has been a swimming teacher for over 7 years and loves the challenge of helping someone to learn how to swim from scratch. She has good experience in using underwater videos to help support coaching and has also recently been working with para tri 1 athletes so has a broad range of experience in different coaching techniques and styles.
She works with British Triathlon on their Development Camps and Talent ID days in Loughborough, helping to support athletes in their preparation for Rio 2016. She also has experience in helping athletes pre, mid and post race, including supporting para tri athletes with their race as part of their transition team.
