thetrilife.com are planning a Junior Triathlon Training Camp to take place in the Summer Holidays to enable young triathletes to have the opportunity to train with professional coaches, gain more confidence and experience in all disciplines and have fun!
Who is this camp for? This will be a triathlon training camp for 8-16 year old triathletes of all abilities from complete beginner to Regional Academy and IRC (Inter Regional Competition) athletes.
When? Dates to be confirmed but it will take place within the school summer holidays.
Where? This year we have opted for an accessible UK venue to allow more Junior Triathletes the opportunity to attend. Venue to be confirmed.
Cost? To be confirmed.
Accommodation? Accommodation will be included as this is a five day training camp. There will also be options for those children that do not wish to stay over and would prefer single day training events.
What will the children be doing through the week? Lead coach Dan Salcedo will prepare a weekly schedule to engage and develop the young athletes. Who is Dan Salcedo? Dan, who is a qualified teacher, spent 9 years coaching full time with the British Triathlon World Class Program and was GB Lead Triathlon Coach at the 2008 Olympic Games. During his time at British Triathlon Dan set up and led the country’s High Performance Centre in Loughborough, and was Head Coach for British Triathlon’s world-leading Olympic Development Program.
