Feedback: Leeds Castle Preparation Day 2014

This was our first year of hosting a Novice Training Day in preparation for the Leeds Castle Triathlon, so we decided to keep numbers low and have a small but focussed group.  In addition to this, it made perfect sense for us to run an Open Water Swimming Clinic for those athletes new to open water swimming and either feeling a little nervous or just looking to gain a little more experience.   The Swim Clinic proved hugely popular, and our original plan of having one group soon grew to three groups in different sessions throughout the morning.

As with all of our events, we are only as good as the feedback we receive, so once again we’re delighted to be receiving some great comments from the attendees.

This is our opportunity to share that feedback with you:-

“I was surprised how much I needed to know. I think my first event will be all the better for the knowledge that I have now gained.”

“My aim was to familiarise myself with the moat and learn about sighting.  It was good to swim in a group to get an introduction to the feeling as I usually swim alone.”

“I wanted to see what the swim course was like before doing the triathlon at end of June and to feel a bit more comfortable in the open water and to know what to expect on the course.  The session covered everything I needed.”

“The session helped me to gain confidence and prove to myself I could still swim.”

“The coach was very reassuring and had an easy style. All very friendly. Good to meet others with same anxieties an similar levels of inexperience.”

“I wanted to find out how different open water swimming would be to a pool.  The coach that took us was very good and tried to give you confidence.  I would go again if I could.”
